When should I apply for admission?
A student may apply for the upcoming school year once he/she has received a 1st Quarter report card.
If I am applying for the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program, should I wait until the first open enrollment period in February to apply?
If you are applying for the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program, you must submit your application within an enrollment period, which is the 1st—20th of each month. We suggest that families not wait until February but apply as early as possible. Contact an Admissions Counselor for a Choice application or download here.
How old does my child need to be to enroll in kindergarten or first grade?
K4 students must be age 4 on or before September 1, the start of the school year. K5 students must be age 5 on or before September 1. First grade students must be age 6 on or before September 1.
May I visit the school?
Grade school families are welcome to visit during the school day to tour the school, meet teachers and observe classrooms. Contact an Admissions Counselor to arrange a visit.
High school students are invited to participate in our Shadow Program. Students will spend the school day at Messmer High School and attend classes with a current student. Contact an Admissions Counselor to participate in the Shadow Program.
What is the purpose of the admissions interview?
The admissions interview is an opportunity for us to get to know the prospective student and parent or guardian. It is a chance for us to answer any questions you may have and give you additional information about the school. The typical interview lasts about 30-45 minutes.
