“I get involved in service projects because I feel very satisfied when others are satisfied. I think that we should give our time to others and lend a hand. When you give more, surprisingly you get more.”
Brandon Taylor-Hughlett, Messmer Student
Woven throughout the Messmer Catholic Schools experience is the call to serve others.
Messmer students regularly respond when they learn of others in need. Whether buying Christmas gifts for a family that lost their home to fire or hosting a fundraiser to support fellow students at another school, we are proud that our students hear of others’ challenges and ask “how can we help?”
Students of all ages respond to those in need in our community by holding food and clothing drives for local agencies. Our high school students regularly prepare and serve meals for the homeless, unemployed and underemployed at St. Ben’s Community Meal in Milwaukee.
Messmer students demonstrate servant leadership by planning and executing projects to benefit the guests at Casa Maria. Casa Maria is a home for women and children who have no other safe place to live.
